The Construction and Mechanism of Stiletto Knives
A stiletto is a slender, pointed shoe or boot with straight heel and an elongated toe cap, typically used as an evening or formal dress shoe. It has been described as being "the most lethal" type of shoe. Stiletto knives are designed with a longer shaft and blade. The blade is relatively thin, making it suitable for stabbing, thrusting, or slashing. It is an Italian word meaning "small heel", which refers to the tool's pointed tip. Today’s stilettos are generally recognized as being 10-12 inches long and weigh approximately 5oz (140g) total weight of the blade and handle.
